The treatment of AD/HD in adults begins with a comprehensive evaluation and well informed diagnosis. Once the clinical criteria for a diagnosis have been met, the 'picture' of AD/HD can look somewhat different for each person. The challenge of living for years without an accurate diagnosis can often result in secondary symptoms such as low self-esteem, negative thought patterns, self-defeating behavior, depression and/or anxiety, problems with social skills, workplace and academic related problems, anger and impulsivity. An accurate diagnosis can help in designing a treatment plan to meet your needs and improve quality and functioning in your adult life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (CA lic. PSY13103) with over 20 years experience providing psychotherapy, testing and evaluation, and coaching to adults and young adults. I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of AD/HD and maintain a private practice in San Francisco.
