Description

As a professional coach with more than 400 hours of formal coach training and nearly 1,000 hours of direct experience in coaching a wide variety of clients, there is no hiding my passion for helping others to construct the life they want to live!

My personal story as a mother and wife led me to be a passionate advocate for those with ADHD, and, in addition to completing a rigorous professional coach training program, I also completed specialized training and extensive education in Executive Function (EF) and ADHD coaching. I am a recognized speaker for EF/ADHD professionals and coaches, adults, parents, and teachers. For EF/ADHD coaching, I routinely work with adults and established professionals or leaders, young adults and college students/new grads, teens, parents of children/teens with EF struggles or ADHD, and spouses/partners of adults with EF difficulties and ADHD.

While I am equipped to help my clients with whatever their challenges are, most clients typically want to focus on creating organization, planning, motivation, and accountability systems to overcome procrastination, troubles with time management, time blindness, underachievement, over-sensitivity to criticism, disorganization, negative self-talk, and troubled relationships.

I have worked with many students (high school, college, grad school, and adult learning) to increase their abilities to plan, structure, organize, and stay motivated through their academic programs. We plan and organize calendars, highlight and maintain awareness of assignment due dates and tests, structure milestones for assignments and study plans to increase accountability and forward progress, establish clear study/school work and extracurricular/social times, strategize for short and long term success (even including plans to progress on individual assignments and papers), coordinate with parents/schools for accommodations and IEP/504 plans, plan ahead for those times of inevitable procrastination feelings, and design workload balancing so that highly draining tasks are book-ended by activities that refill the executive function fuel tank and lead to more productive days.

For career, job, and leadership coaching, I have served numerous established leaders, executives, professionals, and young adults transitioning from college and beginning their careers. I have even designed company-wide coaching programs from the ground up! I also help new and established professionals with resume writing, job searching and applying, interviewing, working with different personality styles, development of leadership skills and competencies, and continued success on the job. I am also experienced with requesting reasonable accommodations in the workplace and working with agency/company Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs. I have over 20 years of experience and numerous certifications in the HR field, so I understand the hiring, staffing, career path, and professional development aspects of business very well, and readily share that knowledge and related advice with my clients.

Most importantly and above all, I deeply care for my clients and for their goals and successes. I approach all of my coaching relationships with a kind heart, with a sense of humor, and with a strengths-based approach focused on positive psychology and an appreciation for the unique gifts we all bring to this world.
