David Hanson, Psy.D.
Dr. Hanson specializes in offering comprehensive psychological evaluations for adults, adolescents, and children, beginning at age 6 years, in a private practice setting. Evaluations completed by Dr. Hanson are thorough, informative, and have been utilized by other psychologists, psychiatrists, schools, and members of the legal profession to more fully understand the presenting concerns of a client, to aid in diagnosis, and to efficiently guide treatment. A particular area of interest for Dr. Hanson are adults, adolescents, and children who are concerned that they have an Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and who can benefit from a comprehensive understanding of their experience. He is a member of CHADD and ADDA, both organizations supporting individuals and families with members who experience challenges with ADHD (ADD). Dr. Hanson is a former educator and regularly consults with schools concerning the learning challenges of his clients and who has successfully lobbied for accommodations and modifications for older adolescents and adults with standardized testing services (ACT, SAT, GRE, LSAT) based on the results of his evaluations.
In addition to the assessment portion of his practice, Dr. Hanson works with adult, adolescent, and child clients in therapy; many of his clients have ADHD as a primary diagnosis or as a co-existing condition.
