About this provider

My name is Jill Bodie and I am an ADHD Coach and Educational Therapist. I work with people who are motivated to make changes in their lives and need guidance and support to get there. I believe that change comes with self-compassion, and self-awareness. I believe it is important to create systems and environments that support the person with ADHD just the way they are and that it is also important to focus on their strengths and talents. With over 17 years as a learning specialist and MSW, I bring a deep understanding of how ADHD impacts a person academically, professionally, and personally.

ADHD can be an overwhelming condition that affects every facet of life….from personal relationships, college and careers, to the mundane. Many of my clients are dedicated to managing as best they can: They educate themselves on their condition and believe that through sheer will and determination they can navigate life’s extra ADHD challenges. This often proves to be a stressful exercise while only producing mixed results. Over the years, I have worked with many individuals who have been able to find success: College students learning to be independent, young mothers struggling with the demands of new parenthood and career, creatives working from home who feel like they are spinning their wheels.

If you desire to make adjustments in your thinking, habits, processes and/or performance, but feel stuck, then coaching can provide the tools, training, and accountability necessary for you to get going and to achieve long term changes.

Excellent Help & Tutoring

At 33 my learning disabilities were diagnosed. They were pronounced and I was unable to hold steady employment. That, unfortunately, didn't explain all of my difficulties. It wasn't until I was 70 that I was also diagnosed with ADHD, which helped explain my challenges with reading. I have struggled with reading all my life. I had reached out for help with reading after my frustration with comprehension led me to give up books. I had a hard time finding someone who would work with an adult but in Jill I found a supportive tutor. She has helped me overcome my reading struggles and develop new strategies. The fact that she's also a life coach has been a game-changer; allowing me to tackle not only my reading challenges but also my time management and some of social difficulties. It's wonderful that I'm now reading books regularly and enjoying the process, which is a testament to Jill's expertise.
