Description

Camp Sequoia is an overnight summer camp for boys 7-17 who need developing their social skills. Located on the beautiful campus of The Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania (1 hour northwest of Philadelphia) our innovative program builds upon work presented twice at the World Gifted conference and integrates Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking® framework to help campers build their social thinking skills through a traditional camp program.

Camp Sequoia is filling an unmet need in the overnight camp market for children who do not need the level of support offered at special needs overnight camps yet need more than a traditional overnight camp can offer.

Our campers come from across the U.S.A. and internationally to be with us in the summer.

Six and three week summer adventures as well as Hawaii Travel adventures for our older campers.

Last summer, our son spent his first 3 weeks away from home. An adjustment for all of us! We were looking for a camp that would help him with social relationships and give him tons of fun and support. This was definitely the place for that to happen! Daily pictures left no doubt in our minds that our son was having a great time! He learned a lot about himself and others. He can't wait to return hopefully, this year :)

As the title says, I've gone to four camps in a span of 7 years: Camp Sesame & Rockwood, Camp Huntington, Camp Lee-Mar and Camp Sequoia. Camp Sequoia is by far the best of the bunch. The Perkiomen campus is large and beautiful. The facilities and amenities are top-notch, and the summer staff are very friendly and passionate about what they do. And that's not even the Sequoian staff. In my three years of attending Sequoia, they have become a second family. The counselors get very extensive background checks, and are selected amongst a very competitive pool of applicants ranging from all ages and backgrounds. The director, Brian, is an impeccable person. He's traveled the world, and has a lot of wisdom about things. He's very charismatic, and has done a beautiful job at making sure everything's in working order at all times.

This camp goes above and beyond my expectations, and has helped me so much that I am applying to become a counselor. I would definitely recommend it to any family!

So glad to hear that Camp Sequoia set up up for success. We are so proud of the young man you have become.
