From a broad perspective, our services include child development counseling and behavior management advice to parents in our private offices, over the phone, and during parent group classes, which focus on different ages and stages of development.

Christine Peat, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in North Carolina and clinician at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She is also Director of the National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (NCEED).

Gary Peterson, M.D., a resident faculty member and psychiatrist in independent clinical practice at the Southeast Institute for Group and Family Therapy. He has an eclectic style addressing the needs of his patients, many of whom present with ADHD.

While we tend to agree that not every symptom that appears to be ADHD is in fact ADHD, we continually seek the most objective means of evaluation so that we can make accurate diagnoses and render effective treatment.

Dr. Maitland, Ph.D., is the primary investigator on research projects studying coaching and its impact on college students, and investigating the graduation rates and enrollment patterns of college students with ADHD/LD.
