Dr. Abernathy attended the Medical College of Virginia and after receiving his medical degree, he continued there as a Pediatric Intern and then Resident. His special interests now are the operation and the growth of the Better Life Center.

We seek to understand the impacts of mental disorders, inform needs for treatment, and to meet those needs, promote the mental health of children, and demystify the stigma of mental health issues.
