Tampa Day School is the premier school in the Southeast for children who learn differently. We are an FCIS/SACS accredited school for students in grades 2-8 with ADHD, learning disabilities, dyslexia, or anxiety.

With our focus on individual attention within the context of a small classroom environment, Tampa Day School provides for the academic, social, and personal growth of each student. We use research-based strategies to maximize achievement, student engagement, and to motivate your child to once again love school.

Foundation to the development of our curriculum is the belief that bright children with attention difficulties, learning disabilities, dyslexia, or anxiety can be highly successful students. With small class sizes, teachers have the opportunity to work closely with each student to gain a better understanding of the child and how they learn, and to provide students with choices about how to best demonstrate mastery. Throughout this process, highly informative assessment data is used to drive educational goals.

Lessons are differentiated, large assignments and instructional units are broken into “doable” steps, and structures for maximizing student engagement are incorporated into activities. Walking through the hallways, it is common to witness a high level of explicit instruction and modeling, enthusiastic discussion and interaction, and relevant hands-on learning activities throughout the day.

Daily homework lab immediately after school eliminates homework hassles at home.

Tampa Day School is designed to serve students with average to above average cognitive abilities without major behavioral disorders or significant communication disorders.
