Description

Winston Online serves students with dyslexia, executive functioning difficulties (ADHD), and nonverbal learning disorders, from 4th through 12th grade.

Unlike other learning models and programs, Winston Online groups students by learning profile and provides daily 1:1 instruction. Surrounded by the right group, each child becomes part of a team. Classes are intentionally small, allowing teachers to work closely with students, adapt instruction in real time, and foster meaningful connections.

This individualization, combined with social-emotional learning and essential skill development, leads to clear improvements in academic achievement, resilience, and connections with others. While this approach may feel new, Winston Prep’s methods are rooted in years of evidence-based research and proven practice.

While most students are enrolled full-time, Winston Online offers many customizable options to fit each family’s needs, including a core content course schedule, Focus only, or an à la carte option.

Why Winston Works:

Ongoing Assessment: It is the key to understanding your child’s evolving strengths and needs so that we can most effectively help them through precise and individualized program design. It allows educators to measure skills, track progress, refine goals, realize potential, and improve the ability to learn.

Daily 1:1 Instruction: Winston’s Focus program provides daily 45-minute, 1:1 remedial instruction for your child, targeting individual goals in the areas of greatest need. From time management and executive function skill-building to self-advocacy and navigating social communication, students build the independence and confidence needed for life and learning.

Development of Skills that Matter: All experiences, including what seem to be distinctly academic-related learning experiences, are directly tied to social emotional skills. Whether a student is approaching a math problem and needs to remain resilient, self-regulate their emotions and attention to remain goal-oriented or having a conversation with a group of friends who are struggling with something, requiring social communication and social responsibility skills in order to remain empathetic, listen actively, and contribute to the conversation in an appropriate and supportive way, there is always a social emotional piece of their experience. All experiences, including what seem to be distinctly academic-related learning experiences, are directly tied to social emotional skills.

Winston in College is a part of the Winston Online campus. Our unique program offers virtual learning support services for adult students with learning disabilities. We serve students with dyslexia, executive functioning difficulties (ADHD), and nonverbal learning disorders (NVLD). This virtual offering is ideal for students in transition, as well as those currently enrolled in college programs.
Both Winston Online and Winston in College accept students on a rolling basis, so your child or teen can start thriving without delay. Join us at an upcoming Open House by visiting winstonprep.edu/open-houses and discover a school that sees your child’s potential.
